Neck Pain Relief at Quantum Chiropractic
Medically reviewed by Dr. Zachary Bloom, D.C.
Six techniques between two doctors means the adjustment is matched to your comfort level, including low-force options like Dr. Holohan's Activator work and Dr. Bloom's NUCCA.
That stiff, locked-up feeling where turning your head means turning your whole body is one of the most disruptive kinds of pain there is, mostly because you cannot ignore it for a single minute of the day.
Neck pain usually traces back to misalignment in the cervical spine creating interference on the nerves running through it. At Quantum Chiropractic in Burleson we find where that is actually originating.

Common Causes of Neck Pain
- Poor ergonomics. Monitor height, desk setup, long hours in one position.
- Tech neck. Sustained forward head posture from phones and laptops.
- Sleep position. The wrong pillow or an awkward angle held for hours.
- Muscle strain. Overuse, sudden movement, carrying weight unevenly.
- Whiplash. Collision impact forcing the neck past its normal range.
- Cervical misalignment. Vertebrae shifting out of proper position.
- Stress. Chronic tension held in the neck and shoulders.

What to Expect From Treatment
The first visit covers your history, how the pain behaves through the day, and an examination of cervical alignment and range of motion. X-rays are taken where the findings call for them. If care is appropriate, we talk through which technique suits you before anything is adjusted.
Most patients notice a change in mobility or comfort within the first handful of visits. Typically the early phase is more frequent, then visits space out as the correction holds and we add rehabilitative exercises to keep it there. We reassess as we go, so the plan adapts to your progress rather than running as a fixed package.
Our Scope and When We Refer Out
Chiropractic care is not the right answer to everything, and we do not pretend otherwise. The assessment is what decides whether this practice can help you. If it points somewhere else, we tell you and we refer you out. We would rather send you to the right person than keep you on our schedule.
If you are unsure whether something needs urgent attention, speak to a physician first.
Common Questions About Neck Pain
Is neck adjustment safe?
- Yes, when it follows a proper examination. Serious complications from cervical adjustment are rare, and the evaluation exists to identify anyone for whom it is not appropriate. If you are not a good candidate, we tell you and refer you out rather than adjusting anyway.
What if I do not want my neck twisted?
- Then we do not do it. Activator and NUCCA are low-force techniques that correct alignment without rotation or a popping sound. Tell us what you are not comfortable with and the adjustment is matched to that. Nothing happens that you have not agreed to.
How long does neck pain usually take to improve?
- Recent neck pain commonly responds faster than pain that has been present for years. Most patients feel some improvement early in care, with the longer work being holding the correction. We reassess as care progresses instead of predicting a finish date up front.
