Headache & Migraine Relief at Quantum Chiropractic

Medically reviewed by Dr. Zachary Bloom, D.C.

Dr. Bloom specialises in NUCCA, an upper cervical technique directly relevant where headaches originate at the top of the neck.

When headaches become a normal part of your week, you stop treating them like a problem and start treating them like weather. That is worth pushing back on.

Chronic headaches and migraines are frequently driven by nerve interference and structural tension in the neck and upper spine. At Quantum Chiropractic in Burleson we look for that root cause rather than managing the symptom on repeat.

How We Treat Headaches & Migraines

The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke has a plain-language overview of headache types if you want the clinical background.

What to Expect From Treatment

The first visit is an evaluation before it is anything else. We take a history of your headache pattern, examine the upper cervical spine and posture, and take X-rays where the findings call for them. If care is appropriate, the first adjustment usually happens the same day.

Most patients notice some change in headache frequency or intensity within the first few visits, though how quickly that happens varies with how long the pattern has been in place. A typical plan starts with more frequent visits and spaces out as the spine holds its correction. We reassess as we go, so the plan adapts to what your body is actually doing rather than running as a fixed package.

Our Scope and When We Refer Out

Chiropractic care is not the right answer to everything, and we do not pretend otherwise. The assessment is what decides whether this practice can help you. If it points somewhere else, we tell you and we refer you out. We would rather send you to the right person than keep you on our schedule.

If you are unsure whether something needs urgent attention, speak to a physician first.

Common Questions About Headaches & Migraines

Can chiropractic care actually help migraines?

For many people, yes. When headaches or migraines are driven by misalignment and nerve irritation in the upper neck, correcting that alignment often reduces how often they happen and how hard they hit. The evaluation is what tells us whether that is the case for you.

How many visits before I notice a difference?

Most patients report some change within the first few visits, though longstanding headache patterns commonly take longer to shift. We reassess as care progresses rather than committing you to a set number of visits in advance.

Will I need X-rays?

Sometimes. X-rays are taken when the examination findings call for a clearer view of your alignment, particularly with upper cervical work where precision matters. If imaging is not needed, we do not take it, and we will explain the reasoning either way.
